Armand Mouyal (born October 16, 1925, in Paris, France, died July 15, 1988) was a French epee fencer.

Mouyal began fencing in the early 1950s, and was as skilled with the foil as with the epee (though he chose to compete internationally in the latter).

Mouyal, a French police officer, captured French national Individual Epee titles in 1952, 1953, 1954, 1957, and 1959.

Mouyal won the World Individual Epee Championship in 1957.[1]

The French gendarme was also a key factor in leading his national Epee team to 7 World Championships Team medals: gold in 1951; silver 1953, 1955, 1961, 1963; and bronze 1954 and 1958.

Mouyal was ranked No. 5 in the world in 1955, and 8th in 1956.

At the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games, he was eliminated in the 1st round of the individual event while the French team reached the 2nd round.

At the 1956 Melbourne Games and helped lead France to the bronze medal in the team epee competition. He also competed in the individual event, and advanced to the semifinals.

At the 1960 Rome Games, the French epee team was eliminated from the competition in the 2nd round. He reached the finals of the individual competition, but finished in 7th place. One of his teammates in 1956 and 1960 was Yves Dreyfus.

Mouyal, who was Jewish, was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1988.[2]
