Arleta High School is a secondary school located in the Arleta section of Los Angeles, California in the San Fernando Valley.
Arleta, which, as of its opening in 2006, serves grades 9 through 10, is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District; the school will phase in grades 11 and 12 over a two-year span, ending in fall 2008. As of 2006, Dr. Linda Calvo is the principal.
The school colors are Victory red and black and the team mascot is the Mustangs.
The school houses three small schools: the School for Social Justice, the School of Environmental Studies, and the School of Visual and Performing Arts.
All three small schools utilize block scheduling where students take four 90 minute classes a day. Students finish a year’s study in 16 weeks, thus allowing for enrollment in two additional courses per academic year.
