ARLOGO

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ARLOGO is the Arabic language Logo Project. It is based on UCBLogo and tries to create the first open-source Arabic programming language.

Till now, the UCBLogo Arabic Beta 1 is a Windows version only.

The road map is to:

  1. Add Arabic support to interpreter core (Proper Display of Arabic Character Right-to-Left, etc.. - valid for Hebrew too)
  2. Translate Language keywords, and primitives
  3. Translate Help-files.
  4. Translate Documentation
  5. Provide Examples in Arabic

All steps in-progress, but major for progress, the project needs co-operation of community to provide comments, and suggestions, and more.

This would be the first Arabic Programming Language according to Web surveys on Google, and Wikipedia, etc..
