[edit] Welcome

Hi Arjunsugumar, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for joining the coolest online encyclopedia I know of. I hope you stick around. You'll probably find it easiest to start with a tutorial of how the wikipedia works, and you can test stuff for yourself in the sandbox. Check out the simplified ruleset. When you're contributing, you'll probably find the manual of style to be helpful, and you'll also want to remember a couple important guidelines.

  1. Write from a neutral point of view
  2. Be bold in editing pages
  3. Use wikiquette.

Those are probably the most important ones, and you can take a look at some others at the policies and guidelines page. You might also be interested in how to write a great article and possibly adding some images to your articles.

Be sure to get involved in the community – you can contact me on my talk page if you have any questions, and you can check out the village pump, where lots of wikipedians hang out and discuss things. If you're looking for something to do, check out the community portal. And whenever you ask a question or post something on a talk page, be sure to sign your name by typing 4 tildes like ~~~~. Always sign the talk page, never the articles.

Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing!

[edit] Mishmahig

With reference to your revert of the article, Mishmahig. The article as it now stands does not meet the standards set by wikipedia:

  • It is clearly POV - The artilce contains terms such as 'dastardly'. Wikipedia is based on a NPOV.
  • Virtually all of the cited references contained in the article make no mention of the term Mishmahig, and serve only to underline the marginalisation of this term. One can only assume that they're there for decorative purposes.
  • Verifiable references for this term are exclusively to be found in Persian nationalist discourse. The links have to the article citing the term Mishmahig have been kept.
  • The English is unacceptably bad: eg use of term'depersonalisation' - refers to a psychiatric condition.

As Wikipedia makes clear it is necessary to be bold in updating pages. Deep Blue Sea 12:30, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the response posted on my talk page - would you consider posting the comments on Talk: Mishmahig and reverting Mishmahig to the 82.194.62.23 11.11am edit? Deep Blue Sea 05:58, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Golda Meir

Thanks for your interest - One of the revelations from Mordechai Vanunu was that there was a viewing platform in the secret underground facility called Golda's Balcony. This is where VIP's could visit and see the process where plutonium was extracted. From this, I surmised that it was going on when Golda Meir was PM. I have since also realised that Benazir Bhutto must also have overseen a nuclear weapons programme, so that's four female heads of state. So next time some feminist tells you war is a man's war on women, you can tell her about these four people... --Commking 06:56, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
