Leaving?

Well I only just met you, but have to say I'm quite sorry to hear that! If you should choose to come back will be glad for it, but regardless of that best of luck to you! Seraphimblade 03:26, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Please please please please please please please don't leave!!! You are one of the best friends I've known on Wikipedia (and not on Wikipedia) and I, along with many, many, others would really, really hate to see you leave. Please reconsider, but I guess if you feel you have to, well, then you do, but I really hope you don't. –The Great Llamasign here 03:37, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, my god. Why? Please, don't! I echo the Llama's words completely. Fredil 03:39, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
You must be kidding, Arjun. Why now, of all times? Are you going over to Citizendium or what? -- Altiris Exeunt 03:44, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm not saying that you cannot retire. Just don't walk out like a flash of lightning. Do it slowly, just like how John D. Rockefeller did it. -- Altiris Exeunt 03:52, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
WOOHOO!!!!!! (I'm saying that because you're back) –The Great Llamasign here 04:22, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Are you joking or what?

What's the idea, a joke or serious? What compels you? You bring tears in my eyes. Just a day or two back, you informed official change of your name. Don't you think, you need to take permission of your friends before leaving? You can slow down, come once or twice in a week, if, Wikipedia increased your real life problmes; There is no need to retire. Stop editing, but keep on communicating with friends, view articles of your interest.

You de-activated your e-mail which I was not sure was active or not earlier. Can you provide me your e-mail id? swadhyayee 03:36, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

I think, you should read from Chapter 1 of Geeta.

I think, you should read from Chapter 1 of Srimad Bhagawad Geeta till "Nashto Moha, Smrutir Labdha".

I will my dearest friend, I will...I am starting to already reconsider. — Arjun 03:54, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Thank you very very much for reconsideration. Pl. see whether there is any need to archive Hinduism. swadhyayee 04:10, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Wait...

Seadog, I won't change your mind, I know that. What you want to do is your choice. I have no right to... dictate you. I just want to say... I'm happy that you were my friend....rephrase, you are my friend. MY very closest, favoritest.....I....err... please, have a good life.... I will miss you. I....I.... This is devastating. I.... can't say it.... --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 04:09, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

What was that supposed to mean, "not needed here?" You are needed. I am one of your "needed". We all need you. But, your decision is law. I...still can't say it... --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 04:10, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Ah, Tohru dear Tohru. My thought process right now is due to changes and when it comes to my mind nothing is written in stone, As I said I may reconsider, you are just to kind. — Arjun 04:12, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Arjun, every Wikipedian is needed. Perhaps you haven't read up on Citizendium yet. -- Altiris Exeunt 04:17, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Te amoro.

Kind is what I do. Just in case you do leave, here is a last memento. Wait...what's a memento? Heh heh..... so, do you have an active email? Would you let me talk to you some more? Hey, call me Kyo. If i call you Seadog, call me Kyo cat. A cat and a dog. How do they get along? It's possible ;-D If this is your last day, I should at least make you laugh some more. --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 04:21, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

I almost cried my eyes out, almost got a heart attack....and...w-welcome back...Arjun. Gawwwwwd!!!! If you were here, I'd hug ya until I snapped your back! Wait...then you wouldn't be on Wikipedia. I think I'll become a vegetarian in honor of you. *gulp* =D Boy this conversation mill never end... you won't believe this but... I'm starting to cry tears of joy. Seriously. --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 04:33, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
To be honest, and no offense, I'm an atheist, but that doesn't mean I hate religion or make fun of it (truth is, I'm the one who's made fun of, just because I believe in Science, not God. I don't shoot back at their religion, just 'cause they make fun of my beliefs. Matter of fact, I'm used to it.).I do have some interest in it. So far, my favorite is Buddha. He looks so jolly and fat (bleah. I just told myself off)! But, I am reading about Hindi and Japanese and Chinese and Spanish and etc. cultures. I find it interesting about our worldly cultures. --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 05:22, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Why one should be veg?

Why one should be veg.?

1) I am veg. because I am born in a veg. family.

2) I can't and should not take a life (kill a living being) for relishing myself.

3) In animal life, there are two kinds: 1) Those who drink water by tongue and those who drink water by lips. Dog, Cat, Tiger, Lion etc. drink water by tongue whereas horse, cow etc. drink water by lips. Humans drink water by lips. The 1st kind are flesh eater whereas 2nd are non-flesh eater. The order of nature suggests that humans have to be veg. With so much of intellect, how can humans kill animals for relishing?

4) Some people justify that plant too has life. Plants are not produce of sex life, do not have blood, flesh etc. and do not resist their use as animals struggle to save their life.

swadhyayee 04:58, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

You deserve a hug to be veg. from last one year. Hope that you are observant in knowing what products contain non-veg. ingredients. Gelatine is bone powder, considered to be non-pious. I am going off Wikipedia now for few hours. swadhyayee 05:09, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back, Arjuna

Welcome back. Every Wikipedian is a valuable Wikipedian (perhaps excluding those who vandalise). Remember: don't just walk out like that! There are people who treasure you as much as they treasure this encyclopedia. Do it like John D. Rockefeller: slowly. Once again, welcome back. -- Altiris Exeunt 06:35, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Arjun

For what it's worth, I plan to vote for you when you're nominated for RFA again. I like your user page, and I've always been glad to "see" your helpful comments around Wikipedia. I'm sorry you couldn't help me that one time on the help page - it's truly my own ignorance (and perhaps disability) that keeps me from learning new things quickly(I spend more time on Wikipedia reading policy and guidelines than writing). However, you were quick and kind, for which I'm always grateful. Please don't ever give up. Jimi said it best when he sang about castles in the sand. Hopefully, Wikipedia will live on. NinaEliza (talk contribs logs) 17:15, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. In other words, I'm really dumb sometimes and really smart sometimes. That time, I was really dumb :). I'm serious about you becoming an admin. I'd nominate you myself, but I don't carry much weight, and I'm not even sure I can (I haven't been here that long, so I think people would assume the worst). In any event, whenever I sound cryptic, please point it out to me. I get too wrapped up in words sometimes. Cheers, NinaEliza (talk contribs logs) 17:57, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

WT:HNB

In order to keep Hinduism topics organized and the Talk:Hinduism page clutter-free, I have been moving off-topic discussions (per WP:TPG) to the Hinduism related topics board. Please do look at India topic board and view how stratified and efficient it is. That's my aim here. I noticed swadhyayee was not too happy about the changes, perhaps he'll listen to you better. O and you'll make a fine admin, but a good date for RFA is March. I've seen more than a few RFA's go bad when people say "hasnt been here long enough/etc." march is when you'll hit six months and people may actually look at your edits then (rather than discount you as a "noob"). I myself have no chance for sysop due to my "experiences" on wiki with certain people.Bakaman 18:02, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Baka, you are equally effective and I accept and go ahead with the changes even if I resent. swadhyayee 08:13, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi!

Thank you, I had an excellent Christmas! I hope that your New Year's Eve/Day, if you observe it, is wonderful. --Gray PorpoiseYour wish is my command! 21:04, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Vice president

Will you be VP? --Sir James Paul 23:15, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Okay. I will make you VP. Your first task will be to help set up a temporary charter.Lets go over to our test wiki site and talk on our groups talk page okay? Leave a message on my talk page here when you see this message. --Sir James Paul 23:32, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I'm going to make you sysop. As a test what you need to do is unblock yourself so I know that you are able to. That will be your first test. I will know once you are unblocked and when you are I'll tell you your other test. Leave me a message when you get there.--Sir James Paul 01:05, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Are you shure you do not want it. There is no deadline for making the charter. What really matters is policies and guidlines wich I am going to make. Also your chapter is probably not going to have many members so you are not going to be busy in that job. I want for all conversation to take place at AMR okay, I don't want my or your talk page to be crouded because of it. Also if you help in setting up the place then the community that we are stting up will probably support you. Think about it and get back to me on AMR. Peace be upon you and your family.Sir James Paul 01:37, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

So that is not you at http://editthis.info/amr/Main_Page?--Sir James Paul 01:43, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

I just had a idea for a wiki. Wikireligion. Cantribute if you want to. I just thought you might want to because you could write a lot on hinduism there. --Sir James Paul 01:50, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Wikireligion

This[1] is its website. I imagine that there is not much more you can write about on wikipedia. This is a great place for us because it has a lot of articles the need to be made. I hope you edit some there. I will not be able to make articles much at first because I need to make policies and guidlines. I hope you are onboard.--Sir James Paul 02:29, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

(edit conflict)Well.... Real life's not my best friend right now. But what's important is that I have my family, Wikipedia, and my WikiFriends (you and about....25 others!). Oh, look at my user page! Have you seen it yet? I'm trying to stop editing that user page, I have more than enough user edits. Sadly, I have a bad-ass case of editcountitis. Speaking of! 600 mainspace edits! Oh no, I'm losing it! .......And thanks for saying you like my company :D Just wait Arjun, someday I'll run for admin...--Tohru Honda13Sign here!
It is amazing that we have so much in common :D, yes and don't worry about your userspace edits as I don't find it a big deal. Also I love the userpage...I adore it, and congrats on your edit count. And when you run for admin I will be supporting. Cheers!!! — Arjun 23:22, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Your picture

Well, I'll tell you one thing: I'm not a good photographer, so one mistake, and my pictures is bad (and mistakes are common). I don't recommend taking pictures of faraway things (unless you have a special lens, called a telephoto lens). Read the nominations at FPC, it'll help you to know about certain image problems. If possible, read a photography guide/book, or take lessons (although that might be expensive). Also, start off with things that don't move, and you can take all day taking pictures of (it took me three hours and about 150 pictures to get a few good images of that walnut, but at least it wasn't going anywhere). If you're still in doubt, ask an expert, like User:Fir0002, or User:Diliff. Also, only upload your best images (I'd look like a fool if I didn't :). Good luck! | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 23:47, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks I am such a n00b at photography. Cheers! — Arjun 23:50, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
What's a n00b? No one ever explains when I play Age of Empires III over the internet. Also, I saw the specifics of your camera, and think I should give you the following tips: when you press the shutter button (the one that takes the picture), press it halfway first, steady the camera, and then take the picture; never zoom in with that kind of camera, I learned that over and over again with my old one, it ruins the picture quality; according to this, you should be at least 31.2 in. away from your subject, so the camera can focus. Overall, it's a better picture than the moon. Keep shooting pictures and show me some, so I can help (or try to at least). :-) | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 11:07, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Okay here it goes, thank you soooo....much for teaching me this info. I would never get it right without you :D. Oh and the walnut appears to be going good. Also I left EA because not only has its values sliped away and has been corrupted it is also looking like it is going to be deleted. I adore what EA is trying to accomplish but there are just too many members (you are not included :D) that don't know what this encyclopedia is about. While I will still be my same esperanzianis that a word? self, I will have to do so without being a member. Cheers!
Would this be a good section to say... YOU ARE AN AWESOME PHOTOGRAPHER!!! Those are very nice images, I can't wait to see them as features mages...;) ¡Viva Esperanza! --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 04:30, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

You're right, it is much better. Just keep shooting pictures like that one, and you'll get the hang of it. In a few years, you might be as good as Fir! Oh, and another tip that I just learned: hold the camera from the bottom with your left hand, to make it more stable. | AndonicO Talk | Sign Here 15:21, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
