There are parishes that have the name Ariz in Portugal:
- Ariz, a parish in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses
- Ariz, a parish in the municipality of Moimenta da Beira
There is also a parish with name Ariz in Basauri, Biscay, Basque Country. It holds the medieval house-tower of that name. Ethymologically it must be the same word as modern standard Basque haritz, meaning oak tree.
