Arinos is a small city and municipality in northern Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Arinos is located west of the Federal District on the Urucuia River, a major tributary of the São Francisco. The city is 333 km. from Brasília

The municipality is the seat of a microregion of 6 municipalities: Juara, Nova Maringá, Novo Horizonte do Norte, Porto dos Gauchos, São José do Rio Claro, and Tabaporã. The population of this region is 60,505 inhabitants and the total area is 54,233.10 km². The population density is 1.12 inhab/km².
Part of the município of Arinos is inside the Parque Nacional Grande Sertão Veredas [1], which lies to the north on an unpaved highway between Arinos and Formoso.
