Arifana

An entertaining picnic in Turkish (in Artvin region folklore) that usually takes place in winter. People sing, dance and perform theatrical plays after rams have been slaughtered, kebaps and roasts have been made of its meat and sweet pastries are cooked and eaten. The expenses of the Arifana were paid equally by the participants although poor and visitors do not pay.
