Arif Mohammad Khan

Arif Mohammad Khan is a former minister in federal government of India.

Born in 1951 in Bulandshahr he studied at Jamia Millia School, Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and Shia College, Lucknow University. In 1986,he had quit the Indian National Congress due to differences over the passage of Muslim Personal Law Bill which was piloted by Shri Rajiv Gandhi in the Lok Sabha

He was elected to 7th, 8th, 9th and 12th Lok Sabha. He held ministerial repsonsibilties from 1984 to 1990. He is currently a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party.
