Ariel López

Ariel Maximiliano López (born 5 April 1974, Lanús) is an Argentinian football player.
He currently plays as a forward for Club Universidad Nacional, a Mexico City team commonly known as the Pumas. He joined the Pumas for this season on a loan from Club Necaxa,
López had previously played for Club Atlético Lanús Club Atlético Quilmes and San Lorenzo in his native country. A couple years ago he was transferred to the Argentinian giant River Plate but the transaction was cancelled for a supposed knee injury; but so far in Mexico he hasn't showed to be prone to injuries. He comes from a poor season with Necaxa but in past years he has been a consistent goal scorer.
López has also played for RCD Mallorca and Hércules CFin Spain and Genoa C.F.C. in Italy
In 1996 he was the top scorer in the Clausura tournament.
