Talk:Argobba language
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I added some information on the language today. I would like to expand it in the future but cannot do it at the moment. Since I am currently doing my PhD on the language I can just confirm for the time being that the language is still spoken. That is the reason why I deleted the sentence about its extinction. Driss

[edit] Data dump
See Adelung & Vater (1806-1817) Mithridates, vol. III, p. 120-121 for some quite early Argobba examples, including me 'Wasser', auadseh 'Mann', indáki 'Weib', anáthién 'Vater', Endentjän 'Mutter' (unaltered transcription). Adelung and Vater draw some parallels with what they call 'Haúasá in Tigre'. — mark ✎ 20:43, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
