[edit] Monster truck questions...

Do you have sources for the ownerships? For instance, I knew that several were owned by Clear Channel, but had seen no indication on Grave Digger and Maximum Destruction. We (all of us on wiki) need to get better about sources.  :) You clearly know more about this than I.  :) Wikibofh 03:29, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

  • Grave Digger trademark and Maximum Destruction trademark. The entire Grave Digger operation is owned by CCE (the Digger website is proof of this), while the physical Maximum Destruction truck is owned by Tom Meents Racing with the name licenced by CCE, and it is classified by most in the sport as a "Clear Channel Truck" because of the trademark. Blacksmith would be a similar example where the trademark is owned by CCE but the truck itself is owned by Pablo Huffaker. Once Christmas break comes in a week and a half I'll try to find some sources for all of this. The problem really is that there are so many sources that it's hard to distinguish them. For the time being I'll switch "Maximum Destruction" to Madusa in the MJ article. Arenacale 03:50, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
    • Those are great sources. Additionally, I just did a lookup on gravedigger.com. Pretty conclusive:
Registrant:
Clear Channel Entertainment

Clear Channel Identity, LP

Domain Name: gravedigger.com
Again, thanks for your work. You clearly are more in the know in this than I. We'll have to coordinate if we need more photos. I think I'll be going to MJ in January (with the 4 year old) :) Wikibofh 04:22, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
      • I might be able to get more photos if I can convince some of my other Monster buddies to donate some photos as copyright free.
I was once just like your kid, a 3 year old who was obsessed with monster trucks with befuddled parents who just went along with it, 17 years later I'm a mechanical engineering major looking to work in the sport eventually and running a message board which is actually known throughout the industry (for both good and bad reasons, depending on who you ask)!
      • I understand why my kid likes it. Let's face it, even I think they're cool. It's all about raw power and size. Just not something I grew up with, so just not my normal cuppa' :) Wikibofh 14:01, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Dennis Anderson

I agree, hallmarks is better. I just couldn't think of it at the time. :) Wikibofh(talk) 17:35, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Blacksmith05.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Blacksmith05.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:05, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Interesting document.

I was looking for something else and found this document that I thought you might find interesting. I would think some of this could even be worked into the articles. Wikibofh(talk) 15:57, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
