Does anyone know what animals these are? They seemed to behave rather territorial as I approached, so I didn't get too close :) .

Over at Talk:Cricket_(insect) someone suggested they're juvenile Lubber Grasshoppers. If this is what an adult looks like then I'd say he's right. But then I don't know how much grasshoppers can look alike.
