Area code 630

In the United States telephone system, Area code 630 covers the entirety of Dupage County in Illinois. Kane County is split between area codes 847 in the north (Elgin) and 630 in the south (Aurora). The northern part of Will County and a small part of southern Cook County, specifically, the town of Burr Ridge are also included in 630. It is used in Yorkville, Illinois, as well, which is in Kendall County.

630 was a split off of 708 in 1996, and prior to that, 708 was a split off of 312 in 1989.
