Ardwick railway station serves Ardwick in Manchester. It is about one mile south of Manchester Piccadilly. It was opened by the Sheffield, Ashton-Under-Lyne and Manchester Railway in 1842

Ardwick is unmanned and has a single island platform on the electrified Manchester to Glossop/Hadfield line. It is immediately adjacent to the main Manchester to London main line. It has a very limited, rush hour only service, consisting of 5 trains per day. In 2004-2005 financial year, only 285 passengers used the station, or less than one per day. This number has now increased as a consequence of increased commercial activity in the vicinity. The station is situated in the New East Manchester regeneration area.

Network Rail, in their draft Route Utilisation Strategy (RUS) for the North West, have proposed the closure of Ardwick station. The final report is due to be issued in Spring 2008. A number of objections to the closure proposal have been lodged.
