Ardatov, Republic of Mordovia

Ardatov (Russian: Арда́тов) is a town in the Republic of Mordovia, Russia, located on the Alatyr River some 114 km northeast of Saransk. Population: 9,500 (2005 est.); 9,587 (2002 Census).

Ardatov was first mentioned in 1671 as a village of Ardatovo (Арда́тово) and granted town status in 1780.
