Talk:Archaon, Lord of the End Times
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I really, really have a hard time believing that Archaon singlehandedly killed a Bloodthirster (depending which order he had the magic items..), but was nearly killed by Grimgor. I also don't think that a Black Orc warlord would take pity, or say something like that.
I agree, GW, just didn't want to write a new army book i guess. The whole campaign was a circle, nothing changed at all.

But then again, Grimgor caught Archaon after he had almost defeated Valten, and swatted away Russ, whilst Grimgor was fresh into the Slaughter.

- The fluff in WD seemed to make it sound like Grimgor had blindsided Archaon, and I've always taken it as such. GW pretty much screwed up the SoC, along with the crappy way the daemons left the batle (poxy elves).

- I'd also like to know about his origins. In an olds UKWD, there was a story about an everchosen being a trainee Reiksguard, who discovered a chaotic text that proved Sigmar was false, and him joining a Tzeentch cult. He was hunted down, and fled north, pursued by Witch Hunters. He found a pillar, killed a minoutaur, and found an engraving of him on the Pillar (the shield had his personal herealdry on it. He then faced a version if himself, a version that hadn't read the chaos book, and after killing it, the Knight walked through a chaos portal. any ideas?

- In my opinion the Chaos Army book had very little on the origins of Archaon.
