Arch Rival Rollergirls

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Arch Rival Roller Girls is a women's flat-track roller derby league in St. Louis, Missouri. It is one of more than 100 all-female roller derby leagues currently in existence.

[edit] History

ARRG was founded in 2005 by Sarah Kate Buckles, AKA "Mary Manglin'". The league is trained by coach Ken Watts, AKA "Papa Wheelie," who has an extensive background in artistic roller skating. In 2006 ARRG competed locally as 2 teams, each represented by one of the league colors, pink and black. In 2007, ARRG has planned to expand to additional teams with permanent names and personalities of their own. A travel team, composed of select skaters, has also taken part in interleague competitions against the Chi-Town Sirens and the Windy City Rollers.[1]
