Arbat Square

Arbat Square (Russian: Арба́тская пло́щадь) is one of the oldest squares of Moscow. It was a major place of the historical Bely Gorod, which was built in the 14th and the 15th century.

The Arbat Gates of Bely Gorod was located on this square, they were the only gates that wasn't demolished together with the wall. But the gate was demolished later anyway in 1792, and gave room to Arbat Square.

The Arbat Street is located on the Boulevard Ring, it's located in the junction of Gogol Boulevard to the south, Arbat Street and New Arbat Street to the west, and Nikitsky Boulevard to the north.

The square is home to the Arbatskaya metro station, on Filyovskaya Line.
