[edit] Christian Wiki

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know about a christianity wiki that was recently started and has now moved to it's own server. Because of your interest, I think you would be a valuable member of our team and I'd love to have your contributions.

We are just about ready to go live!

As soon as we finalize the CPOV policy, I think we're ready to "go public" with this project and invite the world! We can submit to DMOZ and Google and start getting some real active hits on that site.

Please take a look and see if this project is something you would like to get behind. the URL is: ChristWiki

[edit] Court of Chivalry

Hi, Thanks for your edit of Court of Chivalry. I took out the category origninally, because I thought that it was a bit redundant to include it in both the Heraldry Category and the Heraldic Authority SUB-Category. Doesn't its inclusion in the Authorities subcat make the other cat unecessary. I'm not sure if I've seen a consensus on this, but that's how it seemed to me.--Eva db 13:53, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

The way I understand it, heraldry-stub is an extra category, to indicate it's an entry that needs expansion. When the stub is expanded (eventually), the stub and heraldry-stub category would be removed, but the heraldry category would remain. --Aquarius Rising 14:45, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

A good point about the heraldry stub. I'm not sure I made myself clear, though. I was talking about the the Heraldic Authority SUB-Category. This is a subcategory within the heraldry category. It contains all of the heraldic articles that are directly related to the College of Arms. This includes Heralds, Pursuivants, and Kings of Arms mostly, but also the Earl Marshal and Court of Chivalry. I think that this ought to be a sufficient reference to the heraldic nature of the article. That's my opinion, though, and I'm open to suggestions.--Eva db 15:19, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Good points. Strictly speaking the Court of Chivalry isn't a heraldic authority like most of the others in that category as it doesn't grant arms; it deals with disputes regarding arms. That's why it's nice to have it placed in the Heraldy category, although it doesn't hurt to put it in the Heraldic Authority category as well. --Aquarius Rising 15:25, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User God interested

I deleted the article you created called User God interested. Moriori 02:43, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

It was intended to be a template Template:User God interested. I'll try again. --Aquarius Rising 02:45, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Aaaargh. So that was it. Couldn't figure it out. Sorry for the extra work. Cheers Moriori 03:11, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
P.S. I've renamed it as Template:User Pascal's Wager. --Aquarius Rising 06:16, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Juris Doctor

  • Thx for the help to fix my fix for the "Will the Real Civil Law Please Stand Up". I gave that disambiguation the once over, but figured there could be a few I had backwards. And there were also some that I couldn't even lean towards, so I left them just disambig'd. Thx again. — MrDolomite | Talk 06:18, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Please note that there is a Mediation conversation at Talk:J.D. in regards to WP:MedCab. --Jon Cates 01:06, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Concordia Newsletter

NEWSLETTER

Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.

[edit] Help out now!

  • Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
  • Give people the Civility Barnstar.
  • Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
  • Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
  • Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.

We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.

[edit] Decision Making

The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.

If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

[edit] "Tarot (game)" or "French Tarot"

Do you think that the article "Tarot (game)" should be re-directed to "French Tarot?" I think this idea has some meritSmiloid 08:06, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
