Aquiles Serdán

Aquiles Serdán (November 1, 1876November 18, 1910), born in the city of Puebla, Puebla, was a Mexican politician who took part in the Mexican Revolution as an opponent of Porfirio Díaz, supporting Francisco I. Madero and Emiliano Zapata.

He was killed at his home in Puebla, along with part of his family, by the federal army, who discovered his involvement in Madero's movement. He was the first martyr of the revolution.

Aquiles Serdán is nowadays the name of a town in the state of Chihuahua.
