Aqrah (Arabic: عقره‎; also spelled Akre means fire in Kurdish) is a city in Ninewa Governorate of Iraqi Kurdistan, 120 km from the Dahuk Governorate. The Kurdish film director, Hiner Saleem was born in this city.
