Aptakisic Junior High School is located on Weiland Road in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. It feeds into Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois and the school's main goal is to prepare the students for the competitive nature of high school. Like most junior high schools, Aptakisic has activities like science fair, Scholastic bowl, cross country, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cheerleading, poms, and track and field. Tripp Elementary School, Pritchett Elementary School, and Meridian Middle School are schools that all feed into Aptakisic. Aptakisic is also infamous in Lake County for a stabbing that occurred in 2004, after one student stabbed another.
