Apostles of Johane Maranke

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apostles of Johane Maranke is an African Initiated Church movement that started in Zimbabwe. It is one of the largest movements in the Zionist churches of Africa. The Zionists take on some symbols and practices of Judaism as well as emphasizing faith healing and prophecy. Hence the AoJM forbid pork, alcohol, and tobacco. The AoJM also forbid Western and African medicine. The Star of David is on some of their religious garments.

At their services men sit on the east side and women on the west side. Women are deemed to have powers of healing. They perform all services outside.
