Aporé is a small town and municipality in southwest Goiás state, Brazil. The municipality is a large producer of cattle.

Aporé is 456 quilômetros from the state capital, Goiânia, near the boundary with the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. It is linked by highways BR-060 / Guapó / Indiara / Rio Verde / GO-174 / GO-422 / GO-206 / Caçu / GO-178 / Itajá / GO-302. [1] It is part of the Southwest Goiás Microregion

The climate is tropical humid, with average temperatures between 20ºC and 30ºC. The average elevation is 500 meters above sea level. Important rivers are the Aporé, which forms the boundary between the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul, the Corrente, the Peixe and the Prata.

The main economic activity is cattle raising (220,000 head) and agriculture. The main crops in 2003 were rice (200 hectares planted), corn (400 hectares planted), soybeans (3,900 hectares), and sorghum (380 hectares). There is one finanacial institution. The largest job provider is the public administration, which employs 208 workers. The transformation industries employs 65 workers, and the commercial industry employes 41 workers.
