Apollo Diamond

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apollo Diamond, based in Boston, produces nearly flawless single crystal diamond wafers and crystals for the optoelectronics, nanotechnology, and consumer gem markets. The company pioneered chemical vapor deposition (CVD) for the production of gem-sized cultured diamond crystals, leading to several U.S. patents on the process. The company advertises colorless gems, in contrast to existing synthetic diamonds which are generally colored.

As of July 2006, Apollo is offering a very limited number of diamonds by appointment only. More online store information will be available later in the year.
