Apocalyptic Raids 1990 A.D. is a re-issue of the original EP Apocalyptic Raids released in 1984 by Hellhammer. This re-issue has two additional tracks (culled from the now-infamous Death Metal compilation of 1984) and a different cover design (by Martin Eric Ain). There is a short message written by Tom G. Warrior (Thomas Gabriel Fischer) about the history and origins of Hellhammer and reasons for re-releasing this album inside the CD inlay.
