Apis dorsata laboriosa Smith, 1871 |
Apis dorsata laboriosa is a subspecies of honey bee originally described as a species, but which has since been recognized to represent a geographic race (subspecies) of the more widely-distributed Apis dorsata, or "Giant Honey bee" (Engel, 1999). This subspecies is largely limited to the Himalayas.
