Apex Digest is a digest size magazine published out of Lexington, Kentucky in the United States, specialising in science fiction and horror short stories. The magazine is edited by Jason Sizemore and published four times a year.

Apex Digest began publishing in 2005. In addition to the print magazine there is a separate free webzine, Apex Online, that contains reviews, interviews and some fiction, with one featured author per issue. It is released monthly.

In 2006 Apex Digest have announced a move to book publishing, beginning with anthology Aegri Somnia, edited by Sizemore and containing original work by the first twelve featured writers of Apex Online. Other titles are projected.

Authors published by Apex have included Neil Gaiman, Poppy Z Brite, Cherie Priest, Ben Bova, Christopher Rowe, M.M. Buckner, William F. Nolan and many others. Featured authors on Apex Online have included Steven Savile, Scott Nicholson and Lavie Tidhar.
