Talk:AOL Community Leader Program
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Does anyone have a list of the CL prefixes? I know I was an EAMCT... but there were so many more. This would be a good addition to the article.
Right on...I was an EAMCT as well Jmlk17 22:20, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
The prefix names were organized by forums and sometimes by channel. I was a HMTWN and later on a LDRS YGP. There were a lot of prefixes used even before the adoption of the LDRS and HOST name prefixes.
HMTWN was for AOL Hometown YGP was for You've Got Pictures
[edit] Prefixes
Back in the very early days of the Apple // product and the coming launch of the Mac product in '89, the prefixes were quite limited. There was AFP for Apple Forum Producer, AFL for Apple Forum Leader, AFA for Apple Forum Assistant, and later AFC was added for Apple Forum Consultant. Before I became AFP, I managed the ABC Forum where we had the ABC prefix (intuitive, no?). Drgitlow 03:57, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] More on Prefixes
In regards to prefixes, there were a BUNCH of them -- too many to list here. If you want a full list, let me know and I can get you one. Most of the old prefixes are now available to the general AOL membership. Only a few of the most well known and/or still used prefixes are still restricted (HOST, LDRS, GUIDE, TOS, AOL, etc.).
