Anything But Monday is an American female Pop/R&B singing girl group. Members of the band were recruited in 2004 and 2005 by music executive Stephen Stone for Platinum Island Branded Entertainment (a division of Grammy award-winning Ruffhouse Entertainment).
The group was formed in order to participate to Stone's international reality-drama TV series 30 Days Til I'm Famous, to be broadcasted worldwide in Fall and Winter 2006. The docu-soap reality-show, shot in Costa Rica in both English and Spanish, will follow the journey of three musical groups (including Anything But Monday) as they seek to achieve superstardom.
Stephen Stone started by recruiting for his group Argentinian singer Angie Monasterio and former Dreamworks recording artist Canela Cox in late 2004. They were soon joined by Australian R&B singer Leesah Jaye and South-African singer Genna Cloud and American singer Candice Pillay, who would leave short thereafter, being replaced by former Sony recording pop singer Nayer.
Anything But Monday has started to shot the show in May 2006. It will be hosted by Fat Joe and delivered for primetime on Fox TV in winter 2006. Their debut album is expected to be released 4th quarter 2006.
