Anya Lahiri (born May 1, 1982 in Golders Green, London, United Kingdom) is a British actress, model and singer.

She is half Indian and half Finnish. Her father, Prabhir Lahiri a chemical engineer from India and her mother Anita Lahiri is from Finland, her sister is the television producer Dee Lahiri. Anya attended the Henrietta Barnett School in Hampstead Garden Suburb, where she excelled in languages and music. She's been playing the flute and the piano since her young age.

She started her professional career modelling when she was sixteen, then she's been chosen to be part of the girl group Precious. The girl ground was moderately successful, but in November 2000 they recorded their last single called "New Beginning" with a video clip set in an industrial warehouse with the girlband acting like tough girls. And the individual members started a new beginning. In case of Anya, she has returned to her education, attending Birkbeck, University of London, while continuing to model part-time. Anya was engaged to Duncan James, former Blue singer.

During the last five years, as a student, Anya has modelled for a range of brands, including Asda and Asos. She has also been the cover-girl for magazines such as Company and More. In 2003, she was one of the FHM PitGirls.

In 2004, she started a new career as an actress, appearing in the movie Tornado with Daniel Bernhardt, and in The Grooming with Jacqueline Bisset.

She finished her successful studies in humanities in 2005.

In 2006 she's in Los Angeles doing auditions, and also became the face of the Anna Beth's jewels new collection. She is currently filming a new movie called I Can't Think Straight, which is about an Indian family preparing the wedding of their daughter.
