Anwar Wagdi (Arabic: أنور وجدي‎) was an Egyptian actor, writer, director and producer (11 October 1904 - 14 May 1955)[1].

Played the leading roles in many of the Egyptian film 1n the 1940s and 1950s.

Was married to Leila Mourad and they were divorced before his death

Died at 50 of stomach cancer
