Anubhuti

Anubhuti is the Annual Cultural Festival of Faculty Of Engineering & Technology, Raja Balwant Singh College, Bichpuri Agra. Though initially formulated as a two day event, it’s a one day event held in last week of March or first week of April. The festival is host to symposium of culture talent and prowess of students. Conceived in 2000 Anubhuti has come a long way in terms of participation, organization and the repertoire of events. Students have the opportunity of showcasing their talent in a variety of cultural events like dance, music and theater.

Devanagari: अनुभूति
Anubhuti (Hindi Anubhuti: Spiritual Experience) stands for 'The Spiritual experience' one comes across while showcasing his artistic competency as well as by those in attendance. There is some controversy regarding the appropriateness of the name. Image:anu1.jpg

Being an engineering and technological institute, a cultural festival is instrumental in exposing the students in creative aspects of student life. Faculty Of Engineering & Technology, Raja Balwant Singh College as having fairly young history started in year 1996 with three branches viz. Computer Science and Engineering,Electronics and Communication Engineering and Food Technology.
With the further Development of the college as part of extra-curricular activities cultural events for first two years were organized in form of Fresher’s Programme, where the incoming batch displayed its cultural talent to its senior batch with some programme contributions from senior batch.
First cultural event was a small program called "Sham-E-Mauski" organised on 21st May 1998 by Mr. Abhishek Srivastava from (1997 ECE Batch)alongwith Miss Vasudha Tiwari(1997 CSE Batch) as Cultural Secretaries .The second event organized was a Movie Spoof in January 2000.Inspired by the active participation of people and on popular demand Mr. Abhishek Srivastava from 1996 batch and Mr. Nitin Agarwal from 1997 batch perceived for a Annual Cultural event for the college and thereby the concept of “Anubhuti” was born.Alongwith need for a cultural committee was born and so a cultural committee “Sanskriti” under guidance of professor Bharadwaj was formulated. The first cultural committee was headed by Mr. Amit Rana (1996 EC Batch) as General Secretary, Mr. Sushant Yadava (1996 CSE Batch) as Coordinator and Mr. Abhishek Srivastava (1996 CSE Batch) as Cultural Secretary. The committee constituted of Event Managers from 1997 batch and few people from each of four years.

This function was organized in sursadan in April 2001.This was a two day event and was organized along with a college Fete. Cultural Committee under guidance of Dr. PS Vishnoi organized some nine events spread over two days. Chief Guest was noted film actor Mr. Raj Babbar.

This function was organized in sursadan in April 2002.This was a Single day event .This year cultural function had to be restricted to a single day because of some unforeseen circumstances and constraints. Chief Guest was the then Vice chancellor of Agra university Prof .G.C. Saxena.
The highlight of this year event was exemplary choreography by Mr. Gaurav Srivastava(E.C. 1998)

There was no Annual fest in 2003 due to unforseen circumstances, but couple of other Cultural activities like Holi Milan were organized during the academic year 2002-03.

Swaranjali - Solo Song Competition: - It offers a platform for students to showcase their single skills. After a tough prelims qualified singers compete on the center stage
Sur-Swarita - Duet Song Competition: - This tests the skill of the participant to sing in tandem with a person.

Theatre events bring together the best acting skills in following events.
Abhivyakti - Movie Spoof: - This event depicts a spoofed storyline of a movie.
Chitrashala - Skit Competition: - This is a play competition
Pracharika - Ad- Mad Show: - This is a competition where a team is given some minutes to enact AD on a given fictional product.

Nrityangini – Western Solo Dance Competition
Jhankar - Group Dance Competition
Noopur – Semi Classical Solo Dance Competition
Choreography- Dance Ballet organized on a particular theme.
Fashionshow- Depicts the synchronized catwalk on the podium.

Anubhuti holds high class due to quality of participation as well as the judges.Rashtriya Kala Sansthan have always render significant support in judging as well giving significant tips to budding artist. The best people in their fields available are invited to be the judge for the respective fields.
