Guten Tag. I don't have much here since I don't spend much time here, soooo....

Before everything else:

I live in Chicagoland, particularly the suburbs

I pose on Wikipedia as Ameise, which means Ant in German.

[edit] Other Projects

I am currently developing a Germanic constructed language named Taatsch, which you can find on it's Wiki here: Taatsch Wiki.

I am also a game developer, who uses GarageGames technology such as the Torque Game Engine and the Torque Shader Engine. My current game project is Kuiper, which is a space sim akin to the Microsoft game Allegiance. I was also a developer for the Star Wars Galaxies Emulator, or the SWGEMU, for several months.

I am also a full-time student attending the College of DuPage, and am majoring in History, and plan on minoring in C++ Programming. I am also studying German as a foreign language, and have studied it for around 4 years already.

[edit] Ancestry

Before you go calling me anti-Polish, or has some have even called me, a Nazi (although I am socialist, not fascist), you should know that I am approximately 50% Polish blood, and I have a Polish last name (Kuklinski, or as the Polish would have it, Kukliński.) As far as I know, I do not share any relation to the serial killer Richard Kuklinski, or Colonel Ryszard Kukliński.

The Polish-side of my family originates near Danzig, during the time when Prussia controlled the city. One half of the German side of my family originates in a burg near Stuttgart, and the other half originates somewhere in old Prussia.

[edit] Nomenclature Beliefs

A little about my nomenclature beliefs on Wikipedia---

I strongly support the changing of the article name for Gdańsk to Danzig. Why? I have never heard Gdańsk used in common English speech, plus the fact that the accented ń does not exist in the English alphabet.

I also support the changing of Szczecin to Stettin, for similar reasons. I never hear Szczecin used, and even if it were (and I could spell it properly), I can not pronounce it with a Chicagoland accent.

This is granted, of course, that I rarely hear any form of the words 'Danzig' or 'Stettin' used, but the historical forms are Germanic, as, guess what, English is a Germanic language (see Old English). The Polish forms of the cities themselves are nearly impossible for me to pronounce, and the fact that they try to cover up and absolve any history of Germany in regards to those cities disgusts me.

I do not see the German users in an uproar about the article for München being labeled Munich... I do not see why we are giving special priviledges to the Polish users of Wikipedia -- they can call Danzig and Stettin whatever they want on the Polish Wikipedia, but not on the English one.

[edit] Meat/Sockpuppeting

I have -never- embarked upon meatpuppeting or sockpuppeting, as some such as user:Geogre may state against me. Just a note.

[edit] Wiki Censorship

I am completely against censorship on the Wikipedia, but apparently many administrators and user are not, and welcome it; especially when it conforms to their views.

The blatant example was the actions of the Polish community on the English Wikipedia to impose Polish spelling and usage of city names versus the older, English versions; something that they succeeded with. You can see more on this on the nomenclature article above.

A newer example was the deletion of the Star Wars Galaxies Emulator article. The entire argument of the opposition was 'Not Notable', even though myself and several others offered tens of comments as to why it should NOT be deleted and it was notable, our comments were entirely ignored.
