User:Anthony cfc/Userpage

Userpage design; All of my previous userpages have consisted of elements from all over the encyclopedia; the current is owed mostly to Tariqabjotu and Essjay, whose userpages are in themselves something else. The most recent was also owed to Tariqabjotu, as well as the meta main page and just my personal code bank. I believe no userpage is complete without symbolic, or nice-looking, pictures interspersed. My current userpage is on the theme of the desert, with - for those of you who do English Studies - a figurative symbolism of a "Desert of Incivility" - i.e. my aim to refrain from incivil behaviour. I've got no qualms about any copy+pasting at all from my userpages or subpages - in fact, attribution doesn't bother me...it's a Wiki, and anyway, a lot of it was copied from another user, who borrowed it from another, who loaned it from yet another, who...you get the drift :P Pages often referred to;
Headers; I have always had a preference to headers in my userpages, mostly with icons. My current favourite is my Personal Guidelines header, Header/2/1. My headers incorporate User:Anthony cfc/Clickthru and User:Anthony cfc/Clickthru/2, which are internal and hyperlink mirrors of {{click}}, except with improved rendering. Further Links; The Transhumanist has an excellent guide to compiling neat user pages, which is located here. Especially notable subpages of TT's user page design guide are listed below:
Need Help? I am more than willing to help out with Wikipedian's user page revamps; I've already sorted User:Wikipedian27's, in particular the userboxen. TT is also gifted in user page design, and I am sure a shout in his direction wouldn't go unheeded either. Have Fun! |
