To be quite honest, I think this article is mediocre to say the least concerning one of the greatest metaphysical poets Portugal ever had...

Antero's portrayal of the silence of God and of his own spiritual suffering from living in a world where God doesn't reveal itself openly belongs to the great annals of portuguese poetry. Not to have a single word about the nature of his tribulations and of his raw search for The Truth is not paying the necessary tribute to a great portuguese poet. Superficial references to vague deities do not describe the journey of this man.

I believe this article should be edited and I would gladly help. However, as I do not wish to stand on anybody's shoes, I am asking permission from the author to do so. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Antonius Block (talk • contribs) .

It looks like the article is taken from the 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica, with a few minor modifications from passers-by, so getting permission from the long-dead author might be a tad difficult; by all means feel free to edit! If anything, most of us want to see those 1911 articles replaced by modern prose written by living experts. Antandrus (talk) 04:53, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Oh! I will then! I'm new to Wikipedia (at least new in what article editing is concerned) so I had no idea! Antonius Block (talk) 05:20, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
