Antonio Gava

Antonio Gava (born July 30, 1930 in Castellammare di Stabia) is an Italian politician and member of Christian Democracy. He was Minister of the Interior and Mayor of Naples. In 1993 he was accused of having Camorra contacts. Gava's alleged contacts in the Camorra were said to be primarily with the group headed by Carmine Alfieri of Nola. Despite numerous accusations, Antonio Gava was acquitted of all charges of being associated with the Neapolitan Camorra.
