Antonio Barbaro

Antonio Barbaro (Barbarigo, Barberigo (The -igo suffix is typically Venetian));

He was captain of the Gulf (1655-56), "Provveditore Generale in Candia" (Crete, in 1667), and "Provveditore Generale in Dalmazia" (Dalmacia, in 1670). He died in 1679, leaving behind 30 thousand "ducati" for the construction of the church of Santa Maria Zobenigo in Venice.
