Antoine Simon

Antoine Simon (born 1736 in Troyes, France - died 1794). He was a shoemaker at Rue des Cordeliers in Paris. A member of the Club of the Cordeliers, representative of the Paris Commune, he was designated guardian of Louis XVII at the Temple. He was followingly deprived of his functions, without an officially given reason, and executed on 28 July 1794.
