Anthony Award

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Anthony Awards are literary awards for mystery writers at the Bouchercon World Mystery Convention. The awards are named for Anthony Boucher (1911 - 1968), one of the founders of Mystery Writers of America.

There have been 37 annual Bouchercon conventions, the most recent one being in Madison, Wisconsin in 2006. The Anthony Awards are considered some of the most prestigious awards in the world of mystery writers and have helped boost the careers of numerous recipients over the years.

The 38th Bouchercon is being planned for Anchorage, Alaska, in September, 2007.
