Antônio de Alcântara Machado

António Castilho de Alcântara Machado d'Oliveira (São Paulo, 25 de maio de 1901 — Rio de Janeiro, 14 de abril de 1935). Was a Brazilian writer, journalist and politic ativist. His most known book is Brás, Bexiga e Barra Funda. He´s an important figure in the history of modernism in Brazil, although he didn´t participate of the Week Of Modern Arts, that was made in the year of 1922 and considered the beginning of the Modern Arts in Brazil.
