António Sousa

António Sousa (born 1957), pron. IPA: [ɐ̃'tɔniu 'so(ou)zɐ], was a Portuguese footballer, playing as a midfielder. During his career he played for SC Beira-Mar, FC Porto, Sporting Lisbon and again for Beira-Mar.
He was national champion and winner of the Cup of Portugal for FC Porto several times, before moving to Sporting, in 1984-85.
He received 27 caps for the Portuguese national team, from 1981 to 1989, playing at the Euro Cup 1984 finals, where he scored the goal in the tie against Spain (1-1), and at the 1986 FIFA World Cup finals.
After putting an end to his football career, he became a coach.
