António Calvário

António Calvário da Paz (Moçambique, 17 October 1938 - ) was a famous Portuguese schlager artist from the late 1950s. He represented Portugal in the 1964 Eurovision Song Contest, in Denmark, with the song "Oração".
He entered a few filme in the 1960s, some of which were a relative box office success even though they are not particularly known to the Portuguese public today. They include Uma Hora de Amor (1964), Rapazes de Táxis (1965), Sarilhos de Fraldas (1967), O Amor Desceu em Paraquedas (1968) and O Diabo Era Outro (1969).
He went on to become a maestro and recently made a comeback, after which he started appearing on TV very often. Presently, he is participating in a reality show called Circo das Celebridades.
