Another Weekend is the name of a 1988 hit single by British pop group Five Star, peaking at UK #18 (UK Dance Chart #1) and becoming a massive dance floor filler in June of that year. It was a return to the charts for them after a short break to record their fourth LP Rock The World which saw the group change direction musically. Opting for a harder edge, leather clad / rock sound, this change shocked many fans and critics alike who accused Five Star of pandering to pop trends, rather than sticking to their unique style of pop which had made them famous. All the girls of the band had hair extensions for their new image. Denise, the lead singer had the most striking, opting for long blond hair extensions, which caused a stir amongst the fans.

The lively video clip shows the band dancing to a rapturous crowd on a small floodlit club stage. Doris is pursued by a hippy looking guy on a motorbike outside in the street at night. Denise gets told off by a police officer, supposedly for loitering, and Stedman has rats crawl over his feet as he stands beneath a street light!

All these changes would eventually prove a mistake career wise as the next few singles would not fare as well as previous releases. The album Rock The World fared well (UK #16), but did not have the staying power of previous albums.

The group's record label, Tent Records, plan to remix and release the single in late 2006 / early 2007.
