Another Bad Creation (or A.B.C. for short) was an American hip hop and R&B musical group from Atlanta, Georgia. Made up of preteens and young children, A.B.C. were discovered by Michael Bivins of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe fame. Bivins served as manager and record producer of the kiddie new jack swing act, who became a part of the short-lived East Coast Family alongside B.B.D. and Boyz II Men.
A.B.C. comprised of Chris Sellers, Dave Shelton, Romell "RoRo" Chapman, G.A. Austin , and brothers Marliss Pugh and Demetrius Pugh. Signed to Motown, their debut album, Coolin' At The Playground Ya Know, was released in 1991. The singles "Iesha" and "Playground" both garnered solid MTV and BET airplay and made it to the Top Ten on both the R&B and pop singles charts in the US. That same year, they also made a cameo appearance in the video for Boyz II Men's debut single, "Motownphilly."
Their second album, It Ain't What You Wear, It's How You Play It, was released in 1993. The video for the first single, "I Don't Wanna Be Grown Up," premiered on BET's Video Soul program and was followed by an in-studio appearance by the group, but the track did not become a sizeable hit. After appearing in Robert Townsend's superhero comedy The Meteor Man that same year, A.B.C. faded into obscurity.
Twelve years later, A.B.C. are back and have started their label and production company Another Bad Creation LLC and Shawdy Raw is their first artist from their company.
