Annie Brocoli

Annie Brocoli is the name of a very popular children's character in Quebec. She is also the creation of Annie Grenier (born in 1971 in Montreal), an actress/singer whose childhood experiences inspired her alter ego(and through her two children in real life as well).
Annie Brocoli follows the exciting adventures of a young woman who travels around in a VW Bug searching for fun, complete with unusual surprises and songs. It was those ingredients that won her a fan base among parents and children in French-speaking Quebec and in France. She also has won a legion of fans among english-speaking families.
In addition to playing Brocoli, Grenier also writes, sings and plays other characters in the series as well.
Grenier bought her character to life in a series of children's albums in 1999 followed by a series of videos in 2000. But her popularity would expand on the big screen in 2003, when "Annie Brocoli dans les Fonds Marins"(Translated in English as "Annie Brocoli In Sea-beds") was released, becoming a hit in the Quebec box office with 100% of computer graphic generated by [Damnfx] and Annie Brocoli on green screen.
In the near future Grenier plans to take her character beyond French-speaking territories into other places, including the United States.
One of her hit song's is "Nanas Banana."
