Talk:Ankole-Watusi (cattle)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When my husband and I first moved to a rural part of Florida and our 20 acre farm, it came with an eclectic bunch of cattle...for "Green Belt" tax purposes. Part of the "herd" was Spanish Longhorns, a Herford or two, and a couple of Ankole Watusi crosses. "Billy" turned out, after a 2 year growth with horns with an eight inch circumferance and a lenght of about 36 inches tip to tip. Trouble was that he was a Watusi and Spanish Longhorn cross which made him look like America's "Schlitz Malt Liquor" bull from commericals past. He was magnificant! We traded him to a cowboy for some round 'em up and vacinate them services.
