Aniseed twist

Aniseed Twists also known as Cough Candy are a type of boiled sweet commonly available in the UK. They have an aniseed flavour and are coloured red. There are several manufacturers including Bonds of London and Trebor and the precise flavors vary from very sharp aniseed to virtually none, sometimes the flavour is almost medicinal. The taste is very similar to the sore throat medicine known as Simple Lictus.
