Aniruddha Bahal is the founder and editor in chief of Cobrapost, an Indian news Web site similar to the American Drudge Report site. He is also the co-founder and former CEO of Tehelka.com. He has worked for India Today and Outlook, among other publications, and lives in NOIDA, near New Delhi. His novel Bunker 13 won him a Bad Sex in Fiction Award as well as an undisclosed amount of money as royalty advance.

Aniruddha Bahal is known for his operations to expose corruption at public places. His controversial "sting operations" catch culprits on camera by first luring them to accept bribes, asking favors etc.

Recently he has been involved in unearthing a cash for question scam which was named Operation Duryodhan and which was conducted by insurance agent-turned-sting journalist Suhasini Raj. MPs from both Lok Sabha (House of People) and Rajya Sabha(House of Executives) were shown taking bribes for raising questions in the Indian Parliament.

Bahal's Cobrapost has recently joined hands with India's Star News television channel to present a new show called Benaqab, literally meaning 'unmasked', which would have a new sting operation every Saturday and Sunday. For this he has also joined hands with Jamshed Khan who has conducted some successful sting operations under the brand name Detective Intelligence Guild (or DIG).
